Elizabeth Waterhouse is a Doctoral candidate at the Graduate School of the Arts in Bern (2014-2019). Her dissertation, „Dancing Together: Parables of Entrainment and Subjectivity in William Forsythe`s Choreography Duo (1996-2016)” is part of the project Dancing Together. Educated in ballet at Albany Dance Institute and the School of American Ballet, she studied Physics at Harvard University and received a Master of Fine Arts in Dance from The Ohio State University. She was a dancer with The Forsythe Company from 2004-2012. Her recent works span the fields of contemporary dance, music theater and design. Since 2016 she is director of the artistic research project “Motion Together” at the Freie Universität Berlin, funded by the Volkswagen Stiftung and a member of the group HOOD, supported by PACT Zollverein in Essen.
